Dr Doug’s Immune Boosting Mash With High-Potency Turmeric Powder With Extra Curcumin
When you use what is plentiful, seasonal and local in your cooking, you are giving your immune system the best of what nature has to offer. When we made this, most veggies were taken from our own garden!
Heat ghee butter/butter in a medium pot, then add vegetables, flaxseeds, High-Potency Curcumin Turmeric Powder and water. Stir then bring to the boil with the lid on.
Once boiling, reduce to a medium-low heat. Replace lid and cook for 15 minutes, stirring regularly to avoid sticking.
Veggies should be almost soft enough for mashing at this point. Remove lid and stir for approx. 5 mins to evaporate remaining water.
Mash with a potato masher.
Add cracked pepper and serve.
Enjoy on fresh bread or toast or serve up as a side dish.
Note: Do not add black pepper before mashing as it will reduce the health benefits of the pepper. Ghee or butter is optional for flavour. No additional oil is required as the cooking process combined with the flaxseeds cover the requirement of a healthy fat to ensure maximum health benefits and bioavailability in this recipe.
